Kindie Korner Adventures

It’s been so wonderful to have some of my new kindergarten friends come by and visit and I am so excited to meet with all of you on Tuesday of next week!  That’s only 4 more sleeps!

Just a quick reminder to all of you that Tuesday’s kindergarten time starts at 9 am and involves a parent/ guardian to stay with your kindergarten child for the duration of the one hour of our time together.  We will be concluding our introductory visit by 10 am.  Students should come in their school uniform and are welcome to bring their gym shoes and pillow to leave in their lockers, but they will not need these things until the second week of school.

Welcome to Kindergarten!  As you help your child prepare for the upcoming school year, you may want to consider the topics in the following video.  Some children (and parents) have a tough time saying goodbye in the morning.  Here are some suggestions for you to make the transition a bit easier.  Below the video there is a pdf link for some additional information about how to help your child transition to school.  In addition, I will be at school setting up next week and my door will be open for you to pop in for a visit on Wednesday afternoon or Thursday anytime between 9-12 and 1-3.
