Memory Verse

Sorry about the lack of memory verses over the past couple of weeks!  Here’s this week’s verse:

“O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth.”

Psalm 8:1

I will be asking the students next Wednesday February 28th if they know it.  We started working on it class today.

100 Day Trail Mix- 4 more items needed

I am still looking for 4 more ingredients for our 100 day trail mix.  If you haven’t already signed up to bring something, could you consider bringing one of the following:

gluten free pretzels

craisins (Nora)

rice chex (Dana)

chocolate or cinnamon chex (Rory)

I will be pouring from the bags/boxes into cups and having students take from the cups, meaning I can guarantee a return of your product that hasn’t been handled by the hands of 17 kindies!

Please let me know if you can help by sending one of the items above.  Thank you!

March 1- A Message From Mrs Goosen

Dear Parents or Guardians,

We sincerely apologize for the late notice. As enrollment for the 2024/2025 school year is currently underway, we find it necessary to allocate time for assessing next year’s kindergarten students. Although this has not been included in our school calendar, it is essential for our teachers, Mrs. Larsson and Mrs. Morris, to spend a day with the new kindergarten applicants.

On Friday, March 1st, there will be no school for our current kindergarten students. If possible, we kindly request that you keep your child at home on that day. We understand that this may pose challenges for some families, and we are prepared to provide care for your child if needed.

Please contact the office by Friday, February 23rd if you plan on sending your child on March 1st.

We genuinely appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.

Sincerely,

Pamela Goosen

Elementary Department Coordinator

1OO Day! Feb 26

We are going to be celebrating 100 days of school on Monday, Feb 26.  This post has a lot of information in it so please read it carefully and make note of everything.

100 Day Project

Students should compile a collection of 100 things (100 popsicle sticks, 100 pom poms, 100 buttons…).  Please encourage your child to count out their 100 items by making 10 piles of 10.  If they would like to then take those 100 items and create something with them (a popsicle stick house, pom pom flower etc) they can do that, or if they just want to bring their collection in a ziploc, that’s fine too.  Please have collections to school on or before Feb 26.

100 Day Dress Up

What do you think you will look like when you are 100?  Students are invited to come to school on Feb 26 dressed as themselves at the age of 100!

100 Day Trail Mix

One of our special activities on 100 day will be to make a special trail mix,  Students will count out 10 of each of the following 10 items. I am looking for parents to sign up to send in the following:

1.gluten free pretzels

2.gluten free rice chex (Dana)

3.gluten free chocolate or cinnamon chex (Rory)

4.gummy bears (Kyler)

5.popped popcorn (Mercy)

6.mini marshmallows (Fraser)

7.chocolate chips (Kaeden)

8.m and m’s (Oskar)

9.raisins (Maya)

10.craisins (Nora)

Please ensure you send enough so that each child can have ten pieces of the item you sign up for.
