Next week, our school will be taking part in Waste-Free Lunch Week as we celebrate and care for our environment!
We are encouraging all students to bring lunches that create as little garbage as possible. This is a great opportunity for students to learn how small choices can make a big difference for our planet.
Here are a few simple ideas to help:
- Use reusable containers instead of disposable packaging
- Pack drinks in reusable bottles
- Choose snacks without wrappers when possible (like fruits and veggies)
- Bring cloth napkins instead of paper ones
We understand that making a completely waste-free lunch isn’t always possible, and that’s okay—every small step helps!
Thank you for supporting your child in making environmentally friendly choices. We are excited to see how our students can work together to reduce waste and take care of our Earth!
Students are also invited to wear earthy colors (blue, green, brown) on April 22. If students would rather not, they should wear their uniform instead.
