Kindie Korner Adventures

Just a few reminders about tomorrow:

Kindie Grad!  Students can wear anything they like.  Keep in mind they will be wearing a white grad gown over their clothing.  Dark colors may show through and warm clothing may cause us to overheat!

If you haven’t already brought your snacks for the morning, please remember to bring them and add them to the food tables in the lobby.

Don’t leave after the graduation ceremony without getting your child’s report card from me, and collecting his/her Comfort Kit (Emergency Kit).  This can be found in your child’s locker.  Please ensure all garbage, rocks, bark mulch etc is cleaned out or the locker as well.

See you tomorrow!  It’s sure to be a fun celebration of our learning!  Don’t forget your camera!

Tomorrow is half a day.  The morning is our primary fun day.  Students are welcome to dress in Canada colors.  Dismissal is at 12 noon.

If you signed up to bring a snack or something for Kindie Grad please bring that tomorrow so we can prepare.

Please ensure your child’s locker is cleaned out.  After today we will not need our pillows or gym shoes so those can go home.

Just a quick reminder that we are heading to Go Bananas tomorrow.  We will be leaving the school at 10:30 and returning at 12:30.  You are welcome to join us there if you would like!

Children are welcome to wear play clothes tomorrow.  Please remember to have your child wear socks as they are required in the play structures.

Next Wednesday, June 21 is our Primary Fun Day!  Students will rotate through 15 different activity stations throughout the morning. Thank you to the two parents who have volunteered to help that morning.  We are still looking for more helpers.  If you are available, please let me know.

This will be a non-uniform morning for primary students.  We will be celebrating Canada’s 150th birthday and are inviting the students to come to school dressed in red and white!

Thank you to all of the wonderful parents who were able to join us on Monday mornings to read with us in the classroom.  We enjoyed spending time with you and loved hearing you read to us!  We have had our last Monday morning book look for the year.  Keep on reading at home 🙂

Please return all great badges as soon as possible.  Your child will receive a prize for returning their great badges to class, even if they don’t quite have ten!

Next Wednesday, June 21 is our Primary Fun Day (well, I guess it’s Fun Morning as we have a half day of school).  We need help to make this morning a success.  We have 15 fun stations and need parents to help us run these stations.  If you are able to spend the morning with us running a station, please let me know as soon as possible.

Just a note to let you know that our pizza lunches are over for the year.  Next week Tuesday you will need to pack your child a full lunch as we will not be ordering pizza.

Hi everyone!

We are wrapping up our home reading program this week.  Please return your child’s home reading books and ring with the sight words attached.  If you are interested in a list of the words that your child has mastered, and the additional words on the list to facilitate practice over the summer, please let me know and I can send that home for you.

We’ve been having a lot of fun these last days of school!  We are popping a balloon each day with a surprise inside and these are some photos of our picnic lunch from one day last week.  It was the perfect day for it!  We have also been blessed to have a number of high school helpers during some lunch times and two of them were fortunate enough to join us on our special outing!

This past Wednesday we released our beautiful Painted Lady butterflies.  It was so exciting to see them fly away!

We’ve also been playing new games at center time.  Whacking our sight word bugs has been a lot fun!
