100 Day Celebration!

We will be celebrating 100 Days in Kindergarten on February 19!  There is going to be so much going on, and it is such a fun day!  Here are some things for you to know:

We will be having 100 Day Stations between 10:30-12 and I am looking for 3 parents to help with stations at this time.  If you are interested and able to help, please let me know.  Parent Volunteers:  Michelle MailhotShaylene Dumont

We will  be making 100 Day Trail Mix!  I am looking for people to sign up to send the following:

Each student will need 10 pieces of each item

popcorn  (popped)  Brooke

skittles Isaac

mini marshmallows Scott

pretzel sticks Cadence

Fruit loops Nixon

chocolate chips Kyara

gummy bears Aksel

chex cereal Avery

goldfish crackers Olivia

m and m’s Neariah

Please reply and comment on this blog post, or send me an email if you are able to provide one of these items.

100 Day is another fun opportunity to dress up!  100 is such a grand number and we want to celebrate by imagining all the things we might be able to do by the time we are 100.  We also think it would be fun to dress like we think we might look when we are 100.  Students are invited to dress out of uniform, and come to school dressed as if they are 100.  Do they think they will have glasses?  Will their hair be long or short?  What will they wear when they are 100?  We always have a great time together celebrating this milestone and exploring the number 100!!

Valentine’s Day Fun and 100 Day! (or 101 Day)

Wow!  How are we looking at February and Valentine’s Day already? Wouldn’t you know that this year we are on track to have Valentine’s and 100 Day land on the same day?  The student’s and I feel like there is just too much fun to have on each of those days and so we are going to celebrate 100 day on day 101 instead.  I will be looking for parent helpers for both special days, so please read this post, and the 100 day post to see where you can help.

For Valentine’s Day we will be celebrating by having some special Valentine Stations from 10:30-12.  I am looking for 3 parents to come in and help run different stations. Please let me know if you are interested and available to come in,

It is also a lot of fun to pass out Valentine’s cards to our friends on this day.  I will be sending home a list of names by the end of the week to help you with this task.  There is no obligation to send any cards, but if your child does want to hand some out, please make sure they have a card for each student.  Please keep in mind that we do have some nut allergies in the classroom and some food sensitivities so it may be easiest to avoid food treats.

Students are invited to dress in valentine colors for the day as well to make things even more festive!
