Rocks please

I am looking for some small rocks (about the size of a quarter or a loonie). If you happen to come across a few on a walk over the weekend, would you please send them to school next week?

Thanks!

June Dates

Well, I don’t know how I am writing June dates down for you already.  The weather doesn’t hint that summer break is around the corner and the days have flown by.  Please make note of these dates on your calendar:

June 3- Family Friday (reading) AND gymnastics field trip (part time students meet us there- casual wear that day please)

June 6- Spring Showcase

June 10- (No Family Reading this day) Elementary Fun Day- casual wear

June 14- Kindergarten year end field trip- casual wear (watch for permission slip to come home at the beginning of next week)

June 15- last day of Kindergarten

I think that’s it.  The next few weeks always go by in such a blur.  Here’s to finishing well!

There will be pizza for sale as well as concession treats! Due to this event being outside of school hours, all students Grade 6 and under must either be accompanied by an adult or by a sibling/family friend Grade 9 or older. Shoe boxes or small box equivalent please!

On Thursdays we work on something called Story Workshop.  Over the past two weeks students have been creating and designing characters and we have been using loose parts to create settings for our characters to develop stories in.  I would like to provide them with an opportunity to create a more permanent setting for their stories but to do so we would need some shoe boxes (or boxes similar in size- nothing too big).  Not all students may want to do this activity and that is totally okay but I would like for them to have the opportunity.

Could you see if you have any boxes that might work for us around your house and send them to school for Thursday?

Thanks so much!
