Hello everyone!
I can’t believe I am posting something about after spring break already, but here we are!
After Spring Break there are a number of new things that begin in Full Time Kindergarten! One new thing that I would like to try to implement this year is a home reading/ sight word program. I am looking for one or two parents or grandparents who would be interested in coming in once a week for approximately one hour and helping me with this. Duties would include listening to children read to you, going over a group of sight words with students individually and switching out books for the students to take home. If you are interested in being part of this exciting program, please let me know! I would love to see this volunteer position take place on Thursday mornings (from 9-10) but I can be somewhat flexible. I would like to keep the day and time consistent each week, however to make it easier for parents to remember to send in their books.
Please note: You will need to have your criminal record check done in order to be able to come in and help.
