I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you for the kind words and thoughtful gifts I received this week from so many of you.  Each word of thanks, each hug has meant so much.  It has been such a joy to work with your children.  Thank you for working along side me to make this year so wonderful.

I pray you all have a wonderful summer holiday and that you cherish your days together.  Please know your children will always hold a special place in my heart, and I am always here if they need a familiar face, a hug, or a high five.

Hi Parents

I have one volunteer to help with our Rodeo fun day on Wednesday morning, but could really use another person to come as well.  Please let me know if you can help out!  Thanks!  I promise this will be the last time I ask you to help this year 🙂

Please remember to bring the item or items you signed up to bring for our Kindergarten Grad celebration. Our celebration is on Tuesday, but we would love to have everything at the school by tomorrow so we can set up early Tuesday morning.

As Monday will be our last full day of school, please help your child clear their locker before they leave for the day.

We will no longer be using our gym shoes or pillows. Those could even go home Monday morning as our day will be too full for resting and we wont have any more gym times.

Our Fun Day theme this year is RODEO!!

Children are welcome to dress up for the event in rodeo fashion (think jeans, bandanas, cowboy hats etc). We will meet in the classroom at regular time and then head to our first station. Students will rotate through the stations and then we will meet back in the classroom where you can pick them up at noon from the classroom. Please make sure your child’s report card is picked up and their locker is cleaned out.

YEEEHAW!!! Summer vacation is almost here!

Ok, I am trying to wrap my mind around how to make this go as smoothly as possible on Tuesday. Please make note of the following details:

Please be on time in the morning! We don’t want anyone to miss out on our fun day because they came to school late!

Please have your child dressed in comfortable clothes for jumping, that are easy for him/her to change out of later at the spray park.

Backpack- please put your child’s lunch, water bottle and snacks in their backpack. Pack it with only necessary items for the day to keep things light and easy to search through.  Please make sure they are well marked with your child’s name.

Spray Park- Please make sure your child has their swim suit, towel and a plastic bag for wet items in their backpack. Something easy to put on after swimming would be preferable. If your child has never dressed themselves in their swimsuits, maybe giving them a chance to practice that before we go on Tuesday would be helpful!  If it is sunny, please be sure to send along sunscreen if this concerns you.

Howdy partners!

I am looking to borrow a pair or 2 of cowboy boots for our fun day on June 20th.  No one will be wearing them, children will be tossing lego (or something yet to be determined) into the boots.  Would anyone have some that I could borrow?

I thought I would send a few reminders about our busy week. Please make note of the following if you haven’t already:

Tuesday- field trip to Get Air Abby and the Garrison Spray Park (see additional post to follow)

Wednesday- extra Knight Day

Thursday- bake sale to raise funds for Ms Doerksen

Friday- last Family Friday and dismissal at 12:05.

Tomorrow is Thursday, our day to bring back our home reading books.  This Thursday will be our last  home reading day.  No new books will go home tomorrow.  Please take a look around the house to find these books and sight words and return them.  Students who bring their reading books in tomorrow and read to our parent volunteers will get a reading goal bravo badge.

June 20 (our last half day of school for this year) will be a fun day for primary students!  We will have stations set up outside and in the gym and we are needing some extra hands to make this morning a success.  If you are able to come and help run a station (all supplies and instructions will be provided for you) please let me know.  Students will rotate in groups of 10 – 12 through all the stations.  You would be teaching and supervising the same activity to each group that rotates through your station.  If this sounds like something you would enjoy, please let me know!
