Guatemala Missions Trip- How You Can Help!

We are sending a team of High school students to Guatemala for Spring Break!  Each class has a student they are supporting on this mission trip.  Our student’s name is Lily and she is asking us to donate face cloths and hand towels for the team to take with them.  We will be collecting these items in the classroom.  Please consider helping by donating what you can so she can take these down to bless the people in Guatemala.  We will be learning more about Lily and her team and what they are doing in the days and weeks to come.

Tens and Units

In Math we have been working on using ten frames and blocks to show what we know about numbers from 0-20.  We have even tried building numbers that are bigger than 20!  Today the students are coming home with a worksheet that we did after playing with our math manipulatives and I was so proud of the learning they were able to demonstrate!  Ask them to show you!

Report Card Envelopes To Be Returned

Could you please return the report card envelopes so that we can reuse them for the next report card?  You can keep the actual report, but we would like the envelope please.

Valentine’s Day- Volunteers Wanted :)

On Friday, February 14th we will be having some special Valentine Stations and we could use some extra help!  If you are able to help between 10:30-12 noon, please let me know.

We also sent home a list of names last week in case your child would like to pass out valentine cards to his/her classmates.  If you are planning to send cards, please be sure to include one for every student.

We would also like to include decorating heart-shaped sugar cookies on Valentine’s Day.  If you are able to send 18 heart-shaped cookies, a can of icing, or some decorations for our cookies, please let me know.

Thank you!
