With the rain finally making an appearance, I just wanted to send a reminder out to you about making sure your child has what they need to stay warm and dry on wet days. Please do not assume that if it’s rainy we won’t be going outside. We try to give the children an opportunity to run and play in the fresh air every day. Jackets, rain boots, an extra pair of socks (and warm mittens and hats when it’s really cold) all help make this possible.
Apples please!
I have a special recipe to make with the students on Monday and would love to have each child bring an apple to add to our pot. If you have an apple at home that you would be willing to send along with your child for our special recipe, please send it on Monday and let them know it’s not for them to eat at recess 🙂
Memory Verse for October
This year the primary students at Highroad will all be working on the same bible memory verses. Older students will be expected to learn a bit more of the passage and younger students will learn less. We will keep the same verse for the month, testing for memorization and understanding at the end of the month. This month Kindergarten students will be learning Psalm 23:1, The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. Thank you for helping review this verse at home.

Here is a video of a great song that you may find helpful when working on this verse with your child.
