New Memory Verse for March and April

Our next verse will focus on Easter.  Please help your child practice at home.  A paper with the verse on it is coming home in folders today.

Matthew 28:5-6

“The angel said to the women, “do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified.  He is not here, he has risen, just as he said.  Come and see the place where he lay.”

Reminders for 100 Day Celebration

Just a few reminders about our 100 day celebration.

We will be celebrating on Tuesday February 28.

Students are encouraged to dress up in a way that shows what they think they will look like when they are 100.  I have heard a number of students say they are dressing up as other things (lions, spiderman etc).  Please know this is not a free- for- all dress up day.  If your child does not want to dress up like a grandma or grandpa, they will need to wear their uniform.

I am still waiting for a large number of 100 day collections to come in.  We will be showing our friends our collections on Monday morning and then using them for something on Tuesday.  Please send your child’s collection in on Monday if you haven’t already done so.

100 Day Change of Date

Hi Everyone

Unfortunately, due to the scheduling of class photos, our 100 Day Celebration will be postponed until February 28.

Class photos will be taking place on February 21 and we will need to wear our uniforms for that.

100 Day dress up and celebration will take place on Tuesday February 28th instead.

100 Day collections can still come to school for Feb 21.

Thanks and so sorry for the change!

Valentine List

Hi everyone

Sorry for the late information- I sent the list of class names for valentine’s via email.  Please let me know if you didn’t receive it.

Also, just a reminder, we have some kiddos in here that have food allergies and restrictions.  We will be doing Valentine activities on Tuesday next week that don’t involve food.

100 Day Information

Here is some information for you for our 100th day of school on Feb 21!

DRESSING UP

What will I look like when I am 100?  That is the question for the children to answer.  We are dressing up to show what we think we will look like when we are 100!  There are lots of ideas online if you are looking for some inspiration.  (Contrary to popular belief we will not be dressing up as Elsa or Spiderman)

100 DAY COLLECTION

On 100 day I am asking each child to bring in a collection of 100 small objects to show the class. These objects can be collected and brought in in a ziploc or something similar OR your child could choose to use the objects to create something (ie, 100 cheerios on a string to make a necklace).  Please be sure to send collections to school on or before Feb 21.
