Phonograms

on September 29, 2020

Well, it may still only be September but we have been busy working on our phonograms in Kindergarten.  We have started by learning what we refer to as our “clock phonograms.”  These clock phonograms are the ones that all follow the same pattern of directionality when we are printing them, starting at the 2 on the clock on travelling from the 2, to the 1, to the 12 and so on, all the way around.  So far we have been learning the sounds and formation of o, a, c, d, g, and s.  We will be adding f and qu to our list in the coming days.  If you have phonogram cards at home and would like to practice with your child, please feel free to check out the back of the cards for directions on how to say the sounds.
